Social advertizing in former Soviet Union makes people better

Social advertising is not so popular in Russia as it can seem. Even lots of years ago social advertising took an important place in everyday life. All Russian citizens who lived in Soviet times remember social posters and video spots where ideas of liability were declared. The following mottos were very popular: “Save our nature, it’s our motherhood”, “Matches are not toys for boys” etc. All those social ads were supported by Soviet government and made by governmental institutions. Nowadays everything has changed and we may find lots various social advertising which is sponsored by Russian government, non-commercial companies and private persons. Much money is spent every year on different social campaigns which are created by popular media campaigns with video spots, social posters, logos etc.
A lot of international organizations work on the territory of Russia and many social ads from all over the world are available at the moment in Russian Federation. I am sure that it is really great as we have a unique chance to use best Ameriacan experience in the sphere of social advertising as our own traditions in this field are very weak but we have many thoughts and creative PR specialists who can make all them true. That’s why various contests of social promotion are so popular nowadays in Russian Federation and many professional advertizing companies took an active part in such kind of competitions and if you enter tube sites you can search for many social spots created by the leading local organizations but usually the visualization of social ideas leaves much to be desired. Still there are quite a lot of popular social ads on alcohol addiction and other issues. But certainly, we should always keep in mind about the current situation in Russia and the main problems which the government has to solve. One of such problems is demographic decrease as too many people die in Russian Federation and they know that they should force people to give more births. As an example of social promotion which concentrated on demographic difficulties we can state on social posters which were placed in Moscow subway with a lady with three girls on her knees. This post is more uncertain rather than gives replys as there is no man on this poster and the lady looks disappointed.
I think that social promotion in Russian Federation just starts its way and in the nearest future we will see lots of great examples of TV spots and social posters as well as complicated social campaigns.
